Colorectal surgery

Colorectal surgery is a surgical procedure involving the treatment of disorders of the colon, rectum, and anus. It is used for various conditions, including cancer, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, and hemorrhoids. Surgeries can be performed through minimally invasive methods like laparoscopy or robotics, or via traditional open surgery, and often involve removing abnormal tissue or a section of the colon (colectomy).

➔Resection: Removing a section of the colon, often because of cancer.

➔Hemorrhoidectomy: Surgical removal of hemorrhoids.

➔Laparoscopic and robotic surgery: Minimally invasive techniques using small incisions for greater precision.
